Applications are presently being accepted from qualified candidates for a full-time (190-day contract July 1 thru June 30) academic staff position in the new Graphic & Web Design Program at Southwest Wisconsin Technical College. This person will instruct courses in graphics and web design. This person will help develop curriculum appropriate for Southwest Tech’s Core Abilities, evaluate student learning, assist with advisory committee functions, and participate in procedures and processes established within the College. Some evening, weekend, and off campus instruction may be necessary.

• Demonstrate current knowledge of graphic and web design processes • Develop, maintain, and improve the Graphic and Web Design program and related courses by working collaboratively with other faculty and administrators through program review, curriculum and course development, assessment of student learning, advisory committees, and student recruitment and retention • Demonstrate concise, clear, and inclusive information when communicating with students and Southwest Tech College staff • Guide and direct each individual student in evaluative feedback to promote learning, growth, and progress • Document daily each students’ performance to provide assessment and evaluative feedback for students to progress in knowledge, skills, and attitudes of the practice • Use multiple learning style techniques in all learning settings • Use innovative teaching techniques and technologies to assist with student learning • Participate and collaborate with colleagues in college continuous improvement efforts • Work cooperatively with the division staff to provide a quality-learning environment for students • Serve and participate in department activities including department meetings. Serve and participate in college-wide community life including institutional projects, committees, and governance • Represent the college and interact with communities and external organizations including the University of Wisconsin System and other 4-year colleges, the Wisconsin Technical College System, district high schools and employers, Native American tribal communities, advisory committees, and professional groups related to the field • Maintain professional affiliations and certifications • Promote articulations with 4-year degree colleges and high schools • Participate in marketing and promotion of the Graphic and Web Design program and the College
