Productivity Writers Wanted at WorkAwesome
Budget: Don't Know
WorkAwesome is looking for great articles
from fresh voices. WorkAwesome provides regular people, entrepreneurs, creatives and artists with insights on being awesome at what they do, getting productive, and making big changes to help them achieve their goals.
Do you love finding new and better systems to help you get things done? Do you spend a lot of time motivating people and helping them realize goals they've spent too long procrastinating on? Do you love discovering new web services, desktop apps and mobile software and finding out which ones are really useful? Do you know how to help people rediscover their creativity and come up with great ideas?
If you want to write for WorkAwesome, then get in touch with us, including:
- A little about yourself and your experiences writing about and helping people in the areas of productivity, technology, and creativity.
- Links to at least three pieces written by you about one of those topics, published online, whether it be on your own blog or something you were paid to write.
- Your preferred writing frequency.
- Three pitches for WorkAwesome articles -- a title and a brief paragraph about the proposed article.
If we select your work for
publication, you'll receive US$50 per post. If we select you to become a regular WorkAwesome writer on our team you will earn US$70 per post.
Submission guidelines:
- An article should be approximately 750 words in length
- Use strong writing with clear, useful advice for our readers
- Use short paragraphs (for easy reading) and descriptive headings
- Use active voice, plain language, and minimal jargon
Other things we'd like to see:
- Links to other sites and resources
- Articles that include interviews, quotes and research (we want more than just your opinion)
- Insightful or amusing anecdotes from your own experiences
What you need:
- A PayPal account to receive your payments
- The ability to create a PDF invoice to submit to our accounting team
How it works:
- The articles must be your original work, and it must not be published
anywhere else.
- The WorkAwesome editor will evaluate your article submission. If it is
not accepted, you will not be paid for it, and it will remain your
property. For regular writers, clearing your topic with the editor beforehand is a great idea.
- If you are not a regular writer, you may not receive a response if your piece is rejected. If you have
heard nothing after two weeks, please feel free to publish the piece
elsewhere.
- The WorkAwesome editor will edit your article. If you don’t feel
comfortable with changes being made to your work, do not submit.
-
If we accept your article, you grant Envato a license to be the
exclusive publisher of the article online, and non-exclusive publisher
of the article offline. You may republish small extracts elsewhere on
the web with the intent of directing people to the article. The license
you grant Envato allows us to use the article in our other sites,
products, and services.
- You’ll be paid in the first week of each
month after
your article has been published.
We look forward to hearing from you!
