Flash Actionscript Games Developer

SOLARIS MEDIA is looking for an experienced, creative, full-time ActionScript developer to work on games, interactives, art installations and web sites. The job will be challenging, pushing your coding skills to the max and you will be working on an exciting array of projects for our music, fashion, television, publishing and media clients. You should: * be able to think creatively and brainstorm with our team to find original and ground-breaking approaches to crafting great software; * have intimate knowledge of Flash CS3. Flex 2/3 experience a bonus. * have great experience (min 3+ years) creating advanced interactives and games in AS2 and, more recently, AS3; * be comfortable with video, audio, code-based animation, 2D / 2.5D / maybe 3D, XML, components, bitmaps, text handling, back-end integration, etc. * have an impressive portfolio of projects to show; * be able to communicate clearly, and keep us informed of progress, keeping to schedules and deadlines; when the going gets tough you can handle the pressure; * have excellent coding habits, documenting and commenting clearly so that others can understand your work; * know how to apply OOP practices and how to build projects around re-usable libraries; * be familiar with working in a small team and sharing code using version control; * any knowledge of tools such as AIR and Zinc; libraries such as Papervision, Flint, etc; HTML, CSS and Linux server environments / LAMP a bonus. * have an eye for detail and well-honed bug-hunting skills.
