Company: We are developing the next evolution of social networking, a social solution network. What does this mean? A social solution network is an online social network that connects people to solve a number of problems in the real world, bridging the gap between the online community and the physical world around you. We have been in development for little over a year, and are planning to launch in the first half of 2010. Team: We have put together an expert team composed of highly talented and regarded individuals in their fields. The team currently consists of four members: CEO is a consultant at a top 5 consulting firm, CFO is a venture capitalist at a leading Private Equity firm, CTO is a master programmer developing the structure and logic, and our Head of Design was the number one designer in his undergraduate program. Role: We are looking to recruit a highly talented and motivated web designer to join our team. The goal for this individual is to step into the shoes of our current designer and continue the design process for the site. The site has largely been developed in structure and brand, but there is much room for creative design in completing the site. This is a long term project focused on pre-launch design and post-launch support and development. The new team member is expected to commit to a minimum of 1 year, with the opportunity to join the team fulltime in the future. The ideal candidate for this position will be a team player, who knows how to collaborate, is extremely trustworthy, brings their own creativity and innovative knowledge, has a high aptitude for problem solving, and is dedicated to completing tasks for deadlines. Candidates must have at least 10hrs per week to dedicate to this project. Skills: - Fluent In: HTML, CSS, Javascript (jQuery) and JS frameworks, Adobe Creative Suite - Familiar With: PHP, WordPress (blog) - Knows how to not use divs for everything (for example that a ul element can be used as a block level element) - Can make sure their code is using proper semantics and W3C standards where appropriate - Understands the importance of interface design, usability, and collaboration
