GENERAL SUMMARY: This position demands a highly motivated and talented Graphic Designer to be responsible for the creation, production and maintenance of the law school’s visual identity via print, Web and other media. The ideal candidate will excel at developing powerful and sophisticated design concepts to brand Thomas Jefferson School of Law as an innovative leader in legal education while assisting with the marketing, advertising, creative, Web and public relations functions of the Communications Office. Additionally, the Graphic Designer will work closely with the Web Developer and IT Department on a variety of media projects. This position offers the right candidate an opportunity to demonstrate and develop a wide variety of skills and abilities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop dynamic and appealing designs and visual standards that reflect and shape the law school's visual identity and communications and that support the law school's strategic objectives and marketing plans
- Create and produce comps and graphics for a redesign of the main Web site, student portal and a variety of templates that brand the law school's visual identity
- Design compelling print and multimedia pieces (to include magazines, catalogs, brochures, fact sheets, folders, advertisements, newsletters, posters, banners, invitations and e-invites, e-blasts, programs, presentations, signage and additional marketing materials as required)
- Maintain graphic standards for all brand and marketing collateral and assure consistent quality and adherence to the law school's objectives and style guidelines
- Collaborate with Communications staff to support and assist in the production of marketing materials
- Work closely with the law school's internal clients on various projects and meet their various print and multimedia needs
- Design presentation materials using PowerPoint, Flash and other appropriate technologies
- Articulate the benefits of creative approaches to internal clients of the law school
- Collaborate on art, photo and multi-media concepts with Communications & IT staff
- Help coordinate photo shoots and take photos as needed
- Maintain an in-house image library with a constant stream on new images (stock and original)
