Bilingual (Spanish) Editorial Assitant

Major nutritional company in Los Angeles is seeking a Bilingual Editorial Assistant with copy writing experience.
This
position is responsible for providing support to the English and
Spanish copywriters in the administering the many details of the jobs
that are critical to making our publications deadlines. The Editorial
Assistant will assist in writing all recognition, testimonials and
weight loss, and income stories for all offline and online content.
Additionally, this position will assist with researching, collecting
additional information from Distributors as well as internal doctors
and executives to assist the copywriters meet their deadlines. Since
materials are produced in multiple languages, must have an eye for
catching inconsistencies when reviewing copy in other languages.
SUMMARY:
Work
in tandem with Distributors to obtain their recognition, weight loss,
income and testimonial stories to write short & long versions to
utilized both offline and online.
Support English and Spanish copywriters in special projects by researching the necessary information as needed.
Work
in tandem with internal Doctors and/or executives and interview for
publications to drive progress in their assigned medical specialties.
Maintain
a management system of all stories that come in to the department and
ensure that we have the proper release forms on file.
Review,
proofread and correct all materials and online documents for spelling,
typographical errors and grammar in English, applying brand style guide
Copy edit creative, reviewing for consistency, accuracy and clarity.

Required
• Bilingual-Fluent in English and Spanish.

Detail oriented and ability to work in a fast paced environment with
the ability to handle a multitude of projects with overlapping
deadlines.
• Excellent grammar and proofreading skills, ability to write clearly and conduct research.
• Strong customer and results orientation.
•
Strong interviewing skills. Must have the ability to research and
gather data to develop articles and customer success stories, and the
ability to translate complex information into clear, concise marketing
communications content.
• Enterprising and resourceful with an ability to handle a multitude of projects under deadline pressure.
• Ability to integrate brand voice and personality into all communication
• Proficient in all MS Office applications, Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
• Ability to type 45-55 WPM.
• Outstanding written, speaking, proofreading, leading and building interpersonal relationship skills.

• 1-2 years experience as an copywriter, editorial assistant or news clerk
• Preferred
• Prior experience working in an MLM or Direct Marketing company
• Prior experience working in a marketing department, ad agency or newsroom
• Extensive editorial experience across media.

• Prior experience in a Direct Selling or MLM company
• Prior experience in a sales & marketing environment

Position is Freelance to Fulltime. Pay is 25/hr.
