Blog/Website Designer

Anywhere in the World!
This job is no longer available. But don't worry - we have lots of new freelance jobs for you!
Budget: Don't Know

E.Webscapes is seeking to hire a part time web designer.  We are an extremely busy blog and website design company who creates custom designs for our clients, and are seeking professionals who have:

- strong experience and knowledge with graphic design and CSS.
- required WordPress experience, with a significant preference given to those who have experience with WordPressMU and BuddyPress.
- experience with Movable Type, TypePad, and/or Expression Engine is a plus.
- a portfolio of at least 10 websites you have designed. The portfolio should show your skills, creativity and flexibility in design.  If the portfolio has less than 10 designs, then applicant must complete a “test” project prior to hiring.

Please do not apply if you do not have experience with creating templates and designs for blog programs. We are not just looking for a graphic designer – this person ALSO needs to be well versed in CSS, web standards, and the coding required for many of the different blog programs out there in order to troubleshoot as well as create.

Our business is conducted virtually, and is very open and friendly.  While the number one qualification for this opening is a strong sense of design (aesthetics) along with strong web skills, we’re also looking for individuals with great critical thinking skills, a good work ethic, and customer service skills.  Therefore:

- truthful, open and honest communication with all people is required at all times.
- excellent time management is necessary, and you must be able to work on a deadline (our deadlines are typically 25-30 business days, though this is subject to change).
- we run shop like a consultancy, which means you need to know your stuff – and their stuff (whoever “they” may be).

Compensation is generous. We have a very steady stream of new business, as well as a large client base and portfolio.  Do you have references from folks you’ve worked with in the past on web projects?  We’d LOVE to hear them!

We’re very busy at E.Webscapes and are looking to fill this position as soon as we find the right candidate for the job. Is it you?
