Budget: Don't Know

We're an IT consulting company based in New Delhi. We're looking for an IA and UI designer to help us re-design our website. We're going to be implementing the same in Drupal.

I head Srijan, and am a bit choosy about what we need, and for some weird reason I'm unable to communicate to our consultant designers what I need. I have some ideas in my mind, and like what I see at:

In terms of IA, http://developmentseed.com/ and http://code.developmentseed.org/ is pretty close to what I have in mind, in terms of contextual content showing up through inter-related Nodes (Drupal) and Taxonomy - Blog, People profiles, Customers, Projects, Microblog, Solutions, Technologies used.

We're one of the leading Drupal shops in India, and are finding it difficult to brand ourselves properly because of our rather inactive website. My goal is to make our website highly active, specifically through project specific micro-blogging done by developers as they are working on projects. The goal is to have them all have a voice and recognition on our website, apart from logging knowledge while working.

There is a lot of great stuff we do while doing projects, which never finds its way on our website or in any sort of internal or external communication, as developers are not particularly keen on writing big blog posts. Our lean marketing team is not competent to capture the most important creative stuff ('solutions' and 'code') that our developers produce.

Micro-blogging, on the lines of Twitter, for specific internal projects, may perhaps help change this, and have developers capture knowledge (and important marketing communication) as they are solving problems. We're happy writing Firefox plugins on the lines of Twitterfox to achieve this - we're primarily coders.

I've been a little averse to seeking out international designers coz of the fear of high costs; but a friend and well-wisher advised that I try this site out, and perhaps we'd be able to find just the right designer at an affordable price.

Hoping to reach out to some smart designers, who can help capture my ideas into a UI design, and perhaps help clarify my website goals.
