Website copywriting for fashion ecommerce site

I'm seeking a writer to produce web copy for a fashion ecommerce site. The site is yet to be launched and will be primarily selling women's shoes. If you have experience writing for or about fashion companies and products, that would be ideal but not absolutely necessary.

This project mostly involves writing short pieces about the company and its products. The copy should strike a good balance between being informational and conveying/promoting a sense of the brand and product quality.

The purpose of this job listing is to screen candidates and forward the chosen person to my client. I am playing a purely supervisory role. You'll be working directly with my client. They will provide you with general guidelines and key points they want to cover in the copy.

You don't necessarily need to be based in New York City. If you are, my client may want to meet with you to brainstorm and discuss some ideas. But if not, you need be accessible by phone/email in a compatible time zone.
