Full Time Virtual Editor

We are looking for a skilled, creative, passionate and versatile Editor with excellent English skills to join our growing team. Our ideal candidate with be able to write and edit at a master level in American English.
Editors will be responsible managing content flow between our SEO, Freelance writers (we us writeaid.net), and our Web Developers, while helping to craft engaging content for a variety of websites and printed materials that need new articles on a weekly basis. Working hours are from 9am to 6pm Philippines with some flexibility, and Editors will be asked to touch base with the SEO, Writers, and Web Strategy team daily via Skype and E-mail.

Responsibilities:
• Coordinate with SEO team weekly requirements for content blogs, and assign writing tasks including keywords to the writers on writeaid.net
• Review incoming content from writers, and make edits, or re-assign as necessary --then hand back to the SEO team, for implementation
• Assist in recruiting new writers -- review submissions, and interview new writers, and assess ability
• Research and write high-quality product descriptions, reviews, articles and/or blog posts, according to guidelines provided by management
• Apply basic SEO writing skills
• Check e-mail during work hours to stay in touch and manage team and workflow
• Touch base via Skype when needed, from


Qualifications:
• Excellent English skills (speaking, reading and writing), flawless grammar and spelling
• Passion for writing with a knack for different styles (serious, formal and informative/ creative, light, witty)
• Able to write engaging content on a variety of subjects
• Proficient in MS Word and online research
• Proactive, responsible, fun and creative
• Minimum 3-5 year related work experience

Preferred, but not required:
• Basic knowledge of link development, keyword research and analysis, and SEO
• Basic to Intermediate experience with Keynote, Numbers, Pages (mac) / PowerPoint
• Experience working with virtual teams
• Willing to learn, explore and perform other tasks out of work area
• Bachelors or Master's degree
