Front End Web Developer - Contract

Budget: $500 to $1,000

Web development and digital marketing company looking to expand its production team with the addition of an experienced HTML/CSS coder. The ideal candidate is proficient, detail-oriented, and able to work with project team members to quickly produce high quality code for client websites. This is a contract telecommute position with possibility of becoming a full-time telecommute position for the right candidate. You MUST be able to attend a bi-monthly meeting in Atlanta, Portsmouth, or Tucson. If you cannot do this, please do not apply.


Duties include:
Convert PSD files to clean HTML/CSS, including print and responsive mobile CSS
Integrate jQuery code to create usable functionality
Populate sites and individual pages as required with high usability 
Provide coding support to teams developing interactive tools.


Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years professional web development and coding experience
Expert knowledge of hand-coded HTML5, XHTML 1.0, and CSS3, including responsive layouts and web typography.
Demonstrated understanding of standards-based coding, browser compatibility issues, graceful degradation in older browsers, and web constraints.
Proficiency in Javascript and jQuery.
Proficiency in Photoshop and photo editing for the web.
Experience and knowledge of mobile css and coding for mobile devices.
Experience working with PHP.
Ability to test in major Mac and Windows browsers, and mobile browsers in at least iOS and Android.
Familiarity with WordPress a plus.
Ability and willingness to learn new technologies.
Must provide a portfolio of working code samples, including full sites.
