KO-SU is the very innovative mobile learning platform open to everyone and anyone who wants to teach and learn via mobile devices. It can be used by individuals, schools, small businesses and large corporates alike.   
We are looking for a brilliant Front End Developer to join our team. 
About the Role
This is a very exciting role that will give you lots of variety and opportunity to be creative.  You will be working directly with the CTO to design, modify and maintain the web user interface of KO-SU. 
The types of responsibilities and activities required will include, but not limited to:

  • • Using semantic mark up language, ie XTMTL/CSS to turn static designs into working browser based web pages
  • • Work with server-side developer to implement server-side code in order to develop complex, interactive and database driven web interactions
  • • Contributing to documentation (instructional, pitch and technical specifications)
  • • Contributing to company development standards

Given the unique nature and newness of the KO-SU platform, this role will require both creativity and a results-driven personality.

Your Experience, Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for someone with excellent programming skills, is passionate about what we are trying to achieve, has a can-do attitude and is a team player, who is willing to get involved in all aspects of the business.

Coding skills: 
  • • Excellent HTML, XHTML, CSS programming skills
  • • Knowledge of how to use appropriate hooks in XHTML to limit the amount of classes and ID’s required on a page
  • • Deep understanding of CSS inheritance and how to use it to your advantage
  • • Coding valid XHTML and CSS mark-up
  • • Developing cross-browser and cross-platform compatible solutions
  • • A good ideology for managing maintainable, scalable and cross-browser code across large sites
  • • Knowledge of cross-browser bugs and inconsistencies (primarily IE6-8)
  • • Exceptional JavaScript and JQuery programming skills
  • • Experience with JQuery to create rich interactive content
  • • Experience integrating with server-side code to produce dynamic pages
  • • Knowledge about emerging web technologies such as HTML5 and CSS3
  • • Good understanding of Web Accessibility
  • • Experience working with version control systems such as SVN and GIT
  • • Knowledge of MySql
  • • Knowledge of data formats (e.g JSON, XML)
  • • Knowledge of internationalization/localization
  • • Excellent testing/QA skills
  • • Some experience in AJAX technologies

Bonus skills:
  • • Social app development – experience in building social sites or apps (e.g. Facebook, etc)
  • • SEO and web analytics
