Artist/Graphic & Web Designer
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Art Director and Agency Principal, the Production
Artist/Graphic & Web Designer (PA/GWD) must be able to help develop
engaging and innovative design solutions based on conceptual brand strategies
for a variety of clients. Position will be responsible for the execution of
effective print design that promotes brand integrity and helps ensure premium
product positioning in the marketplace. The ideal candidate will also
demonstrate experience in web technologies, including cross-browser
compatibilities, CSS, JavaScript, XML, AJAX, PHP, Flash, and mobile computing.
The PA/GWD must have exceptional communication skills in interfacing with teams
and vendors. The PA/GWD may be asked to work on brand identity, packaging,
point of sale, advertising, printed materials, websites and email blasts. A
large concentration of our clients are in the alcohol beverage industry (wine,
spirits and beer), therefore relative experience in the beverage industry is an
advantage for candidates.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of the Creative Director, the PA/GWD aids in the
translation of brand strategies and marketing objectives into design materials
and online messaging:
• Assists in the design and production of client projects;
• Helps with art creation, materials selection and secondary package design;
• Interfaces with brand teams and vendors;
• Assists in the design of new projects.
• Works on final print mechanicals;
• Assists in developing web and interactive projects
• Works with clients and vendors ensuring on-time delivery of goods; and
• Positively interacts with other team members and collaborates in elevating
the overall design work product.

Knowledge, Skills and
Abilities Required:
• Experience in all Macintosh platforms and all Adobe Creative Suite software
• A strong portfolio, with familiarity with branding and print production
• Knowledge of web standards, including w3c compliance and accessibility
• Expertise in HTML, XHTML, PHP
• Experience with SEO best practices, management and reporting
• Understanding of the capabilities and limitations of web technologies,
including cross-browser compatibilities, CSS, JavaScript, XML, AJAX, PHP,
Flash, and mobile computing
• Experience optimizing video and other media for web
• Strong project organization and management skills; especially the ability to
manage multiple programs concurrently
• Strong collaboration and listening skills
• Basic understanding of print production methods
• Ability work to work on multiple projects within specified deadlines in a fast-paced
environment.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of design trends
• Professional demeanor in working with coworkers, vendors, and clients
Working Terms/Conditions:

• Must pass background check
• Position is immediately available. Must be able to commence employment no
later than June 6, 2011

• Salary commensurate to experience
