Back End Web Developer - Full Time

Dubspot is looking for a goal-oriented, self-sufficient, Back End Web Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have great communication skills and innovative ideas. You will be joining a rapidly-growing department in a cutting-edge company – needless to say, the opportunities for growth within this position are immense.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Working with our web team to update and maintain Dubspot’s online school, blog, website, ecommerce, and operations systems
  
• Updates to website’s secure shopping cart and dynamic class scheduling tool
  
• Implementing a new wordpress theme, customizing theme
  
• Creating/modifying wordpress template pages and custom plugins
  

• 4+ years experience in standards-compliant, clean, scalable, and flexible PHP, MYSQL
  
• Experience in WordPress theme and plugin customization
  
• Experience working with a version control system/tool (Subversion/CVS)
  
• Familiarity with EngineX, Zend Framework
  
• Front end dev experience – AJAX, javascript, CSS, etc
  
• Cross-browser compatible coding
  
• Demonstrated ability to leverage open source tools to increase productivity
  
• Ability to complete projects on a tight deadline. Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines successfully. Collaboration with external consultants – we have additional development resources to assist in front and back end development
  

• Website Security – an understanding of networking concepts and web security
  
• Conversant in current web accessibility, SEO, and UI design best practices.
  
• Front end dev experience. Pixel-perfect rendering of designs
  
• User interface and web design experience
