III.  Job Mission Assist Nextpoint Graphic Designers with PowerPoint production and design. We rely on individuals with high work ethics and flawless work product to help us meet client needs during busy periods. Contractors that are successful in their freelance relationship with Nextpoint are often considered for full time employment. 
IV. Job Responsibilities

  •  Slide production & line edits
  • Creative creation of charts, graphs, diagrams and illustrations
  • Light illustration work - mostly icons
  • Late night and weekend work sessions, along with during the week overflow coverage
  • Traveling to client engagemnets to assist the Nextpoint team on the ground
  • Maintaining polite, respectful and positive relationships with our team members and clients
V. Required Skills, Traits, and Software Knowledge  A background in informational design or presentation design is preferred, but anyone with STRONG PowerPoint skills and a graphic design background should apply. Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Design skills – including layout of slides, typesetting, creating icons, etc.
  • Attention to detail – proofing work, catching small edits.
  • Team player – must enjoy working in a team environment while following an established work process and sharing ownership of projects.
  • Endurance – able to work long hours while staying focused and retaining a good attitude.
  • Client interaction – professional and polite demeanor, great communication skills, especially over email and in person.
  • Organization – must be able to juggle multiple projects at once, keep track of deadlines.
  • Reliable – willing to work long hours on short notice.
  • Self-motivated -- able to prioritize work in a laid-back and flexible atmosphere.

Required Software Knowledge
  • We work primarily on Macs, but basic PC knowledge is helpful.
  • Strong PowerPoint skills.
  • Strong Adobe Illustrator skills.
  • Basic Adobe Photoshop skills.
  • Any Adobe Flash and 3D animation skills are an added bonus, but not required.
  • Should be familiar with all of Microsoft Office.
