Freelance Product Manager - Social Media (Web, Consumer Product, Game development)

***It's a Telecommute Job and you can work from anywhere***The Product Manager generates product requirement documents, shepherds projects through development, analyzes releases, and helps roll out key features. The Product Manager must have a great sense of empathy to place yourself in the consumer's shoes. Understanding the industry and tangent industries is a non-stop passion. Communication of ideas, concerns, improvements, and details is critical. Requires experience as a product manager for a consumer based product or site, as is an obsession with building exceptional products and features that consumers will enjoy.

Responsibilities:
•Generate PRDs for new products, define prototypes and test theories.
•Identify and prioritize opportunities for product improvement in coordination with the entire Product Management team.
•Assist engineering, QA and the rest of the organization with solution creation and deployment, and monitor solutions in production looking for further opportunities for improvement.
•Keep order over projects, always prioritizing appropriately, and demonstrate contribution to and focus on overall business goals.
•Research the industry and competitors and become industry evangelist for all departments.

Requirements:
Engaged curiosity about how the world works and why it works the way it does is the key trait required by this Product Manager.
•BA/BS and experience as consumer Product Manager or similar role.
•Excellent communication skills: Written, Presentation and Spoken.
•Obsession with modern web development tools, frameworks and approaches.
•Ability to collaborate with and influence those that have strong opinions, make data-driven decisions, and are confident.
•Knowledge about Web 2.0 and how Social Networks work.
•Strong knowledge of statistics.
•Self-directed and sense of urgency to drive for results.
Nice to Haves:
•Experience in social sciences field work.
•Experience with machine learning (neural networks, SVM, decision trees, etc.)
The selection process requires potential candidates to take a series of tests to measure their abilities. Potential candidates will be paid a fixed price of upon successful completion of tests.
This job requires 40 hours per week. Upon successful completion of tests and interviews with us, an offer will be made at a competitive rate, depending on experience.
A web camera is required for each testing phase.
