Flexible contract for a talented front end web designer

Budget: $2,500 to $5,000

We have regular work for a skilled front end web designer looking to supplement their existing work or to start out in their professional web design career.

You need to have a recent portfolio that proves to us you have the creative eye and attention to detail required.

Main responsibilities are creating new designs in Photoshop, editing existing websites through a CMS as well as complete design to HTML to be applied to an existing framework.

Essential skills

• Being able to hand code CSS & HTML
• At home with Adobe Photoshop & Dreamweaver
• Work with and manipulate the JQuery library and plugins
• De bug and deliver cross browser HTML
• De bug and deliver cross browser CSS (including CSS3)
• Work within well known frameworks such as 960.gs
• English communication skills

Desirable

• Ability to deal with clients to extract requirements
• A firm understanding and appreciation of branding, design and communication across all aspects of digital media
• Information architecture - the ability to drive architectural decisions to ensure a user friendly end product
• Effective management of multiple projects/ tasks of varying complexities, to meet deadlines, delivering projects on time and to the given budget
•  Possess excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to work within a team
