Freelance Programmer for a website with unique CMS

Budget: $5,000 to $10,000

Global Protection Corp. is looking to contract a web developer to work with our team over the next 3 months. We are looking for someone with strong PHP and JavaScript skills who cares deeply about the craft of programming. You’d be joining a small team on a Web project related to art, music, safe sex,social responsibility community, and visitor experience.  Once hired, you’d work with our Marketing Director to develop our new website, as well as possibly working on a web-based in-gallery IPad mashup of our crowd sourced design program.   Here’s our Skill checklist: 

• Strong command of PHP
• Strong command of JavaScript and relevant frameworks, eg MooTools,jQuery
• Commitment to the craft of programming. Whatever this might mean to you-object-oriented programming, functional programming, design patterns; Agile development--We want to see that you care. 
• Experience building a CMS
• Deep understanding of web standards, up to and including HTML5
• Deep understanding of Google Analytics & Search Integration.
• Familiarity with version control, e.g. SVN
