Senior Web Designer

Budget: $10,000 +

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The primary purpose of this role is to provide senior graphic design services on an on-going basis for Veterans United Home Loans and its divisions. This position will also assist with the creative and art direction of projects, and marketing communication campaigns. The Senior Graphic Designer will assist the Graphic Designers and direct them on the layout, design and production of projects.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

A. Manages the process for design / layout of brochures, newsletters, logos, corporate identity, print ads, product launches, visual displays, presentations, etc.
B Interacts with management, marketing community, clients and vendors when necessary.
C. Provides creative concepts, art direction, problem solving, and research for marketing communication projects and campaigns that will assist in building brand awareness.
D. Manages print production on a project to project basis.
E. Manages web and email designs.
F. Monitors overall performance during all phases of the program and develops and implements corrective action and recovery plans as required.
G. Manages and mentor junior designers.
H. Completes other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements)
• Bachelor’s degree in applicable field
• At least five years of industry experience in graphic design in either a corporate or advertising agency environment
• Excellent skills with Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Flash, Dreamweaver, and After Effects.
• Web design experience including knowledge of CSS and HTML
• Experience maintaining brand design standards
• Strong project planning skills, work breakdown schedules, resource planning and project reviews
• Experience in the production of interactive displays is a plus
• Communications skills – both verbal and written with ability to make necessary status reports
• Strong team skills
