Junior Technical Writer
Skills: • Ability to write clearly with a strong understanding of English grammar and conventions • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff and clients • Strong knowledge of the Windows Operating System, particularly Windows Explorer, and MS Office Suite, particularly MS Word • Ability to understand quickly the technical information’s • Ability to manage reviews of own work and frequent updates to previous materials • Familiarity with the use of in-house style guides • The ability to successfully pass a government background investigation including good credit history. • Familiarity with online filing and naming conventions • Knowledge of graphics applications •
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferably in English, Technical Writing, Communication, or Journalism
Job Description: The junior technical writer is responsible for formatting and writing software eLearning storyboards for non-technical staff. The writer must adhere to existing standards to ensure accuracy, completeness and consistency of all documentation. The writer must also coordinate with the Instructional Designer and the production team as needed.
