Job Details

We’ve just landed a pretty sweet gig. We’re looking for a AJAX / JSON developer to join our team on a project for the next 2 months starting now. Help build a high profile full-scale Wordpress based site by creating a dynamic interface using the APIs of Yelp, Amazon, Eventful, blip.tv, Wordpress, and bbPress.

    Responsibilities

  • Add AJAX loading capabilities to Worpdress
  • Yelp integration
  • Amazon integration
  • Eventful integration
  • blip.tv integration
  • implementation design layouts for the various API results

    • Personal Competencies

  • Strong communication and/or experience working as part of a remote team
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, strong organizational skills, with a methodical approach to all tasks
  • Ability to prioritize own workload and work to exacting deadlines
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Desire to constantly learn about the industry
  • Fluent English speaker

  • AJAX
  • JSON
  • Experience with at least 3 well known APIs
  • CSS
  • Basic LAMPS
  • SVN
  • RSS / XML
  • Basic image processing (Photoshop…)

    • Additional Experience a Plus

  • Wordpress AJAX Integration
  • Wordpress structure, themes, and plugins
  • bbPress
  • PHP
  • Advanced LAMPS skills
  • Yelp API
  • Amazon API
  • Eventful API
  • blip.tv API

    • Compensation

    Pay range is between $45 – $80 per hour commensurate with background, qualifications and experience. This is a one time contract position (though we are always seeking long standing relationships with kick-ass people).
