Be a part of one of the leading and most prestigious TV and Broadcast Media organizations in the Washington, DC area. This organization is building Interactive Online User Experiences to compliment TV programming consisting of games, puzzles, on-demand video, user-generated content, shareable widgets, blogs, forums, the works.

Responsibilities • Act as a technical owner for Video Platform • Lead the implementation of strategy and tactics for a Flash component video platform framework for interactive content delivery, which will ensure performance, functionality, and flexibility • Work closely with business owners to identify requirements and design and upgrades and changes to technology • Identify ways to distribute technology to remote sites • Integrate various disparate systems into a smooth cohesive application • Integrate Flash video players with back-end CMS • Develop and maintain code developed in Flash/Actionscript • Work closely with other members of the Interactive creative and technical teams on multiple projects

Requested • Experience in Web application programming, some preferably in a LAMP environment • Experience in Flash development, including web browser interactivity with Flash, Actionscript, Flash Video • Capabilities working with Zope, Django and/or Drupal • Strong understanding of XML, SOAP, WSDL and/or JSON based API’s • Online video delivery technologies (streaming vs. progressive download) • Web server programming technologies such as: Python, PHP, Perl • Web browser programming expertise in hand-coding HTML, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX • Database design and query optimization using MySQL
