Active Web Group is seeking individuals with 3 to 4 years of professional/commercial web design experience who have an excellent portfolio/resume that demonstrates core competencies of the design and production of HTML websites. Candidates must be able to work with creative, technical and business teams to develop and deliver upon requirements and specifications for custom and template-based websites. Candidate must also show that he/she can manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Projects include web pages (interface design and Flash animation), web applications, e-commerce, web banners, HTML email (templates and custom designs), site maintenance, search engine optimization and graphics creation. He/she must be able to illustrate many different styles (corporate, edgy, trendy, and animated) across multiple mediums.

Responsibilities and Duties: • Create, develop and produce web designs and web pages for the Agency and customer websites as assigned by the e-commerce department and for other functions as appropriate • Create and implement innovative web technologies to support ongoing online strategies including designing special web pages, presentations, graphics, banners and Flash movies as needed by e-commerce or other departments • Track website activity and produce reports • Update and create HTML files, valid CSS, optimized graphics and PDF files • Ensure the quality, integrity and accuracy of all information submitted for posting • Create design templates to be used by others • Follow and implement best SEO practices while designing and developing web sites • Work with other functions to implement programs, pages and web based activities • Liaison with clients as required to complete duties • Perform other duties as assigned
Skills required: * Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver • Must be able to hand code • CSS/(x)HTML • Javascript • Flash Actionscript • Experience with wordpress and other CMS systems • Good communication skills • PHP/ASP knowledge a plus
