Jamie Croft is a creative genius based in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He believes his creative roots started during his elementary years when he would literally pick books to read based on their cover design. Almost two decades of experience has allowed Jamie to master his skills in Print Design, Web Design, Branding and New Media Marketing. Like most genius minds, Jamie is somewhat reserved. His designs are far from reserved though, as his work has been praised by clients and rewarded with honors (even Best of Show) from his peers.Work Samples

Toyota - Scion Print Campaign
This campaign won Best of Show for the American Advertising Federation Awards Newspaper campaign which consisted of three different ads of the same model Scion xB. I used photography of the Scion xB’s from Toyota. All three Scion’s where white. I used photoshop to add the color to each vehicle. I drew the background elements and placed them behind the vehicles in photoshop, then adding the same color as the vehicle for the background color.

Tuscaloosa News - A paper from The New York Times Company - Rack Card
Rack card to promote upcoming story on a new football season. Rack Cards are placed at newspaper vending machines.
I took a photo of a football player, turned it into a vector file and printed it out. Then I distressed the printout by folding, balling up, stepping on etc, until it was nice and distressed and scanned that.
For the type I set the copy in Illustrator, printed that out at 50% and did my distress magic on that. I then xeroxed it using enlarge on the xerox machine until I got the effect I was looking for. Then scanned it in and added it to the layout.
I guess I just wanted to illustrate that I don't use filters much. All of the effects you see are crafted, not button pushed. Not that there is anything wrong with that, its just how I roll. -
Hand Made Textures and backgrounds
I love using my hands to create and make backgrounds and textures to use in design. You will notice it in most all of my designs. I also sell them through GraphicRiver.net which is a envato community site.
You can see them here! -
Skky Gym - Boxing Poster
I wanted to mix the old school boxing, letterpress posters, with a little different feel.
I took the poster with tape background that I made and use that as the Old Poster look that I was going for. I set the copy in Illustrator and printed it out small. I then enlarged that several times on the xerox machine to get my desired effect.
I used the supplied photos from the client and rough cut around the images, as not to try and be perfect. (this is keeping with the old school look, they did not have photoshop back then so I wanted to keep a feel of rough, not perfect design)
The ad ran in the local newspaper and was successful for their event and enrollment goal. -
Mac Hobbies E-Commerce Website
An e-commerce website for Mac Hobbies.
I used zen-cart as the back-end for this website and I designed the look and feel for them.
Also, helped them with explaining how to use google base and setting up google base so that everytime a product sells or is added, it automatically updates google base.
(This helped their sales go through the roof!)
Explained other areas of marketing that they can do using the internet and their customer database.
