To browse job adverts on FreelanceSwitch costs nothing, however to get the contact details to apply you need to be a subscribed member. This costs $7 a month which means if you get just one job out of the job board it will have paid for itself for many months to come!

Why Charge Freelancers?
Oftentimes freelance jobs don't have a huge budget so it makes little sense to charge advertisers a hefty fee to advertise them. By keeping the job board free we can encourage more people to put up their freelance job openings and make them available to FreelanceSwitch readers.

Additionally by charging freelancers to apply for jobs we make sure that only a small group of people have access to apply, this means you're competing against fewer people and are more likely to get the job. It also means we keep out recruitment agencies and others who trawl through job boards applying for work intended for the FreelanceSwitch community.
